PATO LOL MAN consists two people, WATANBE the drummer and TAKEO the keyboardist. Our music roots are blues, funk, classic rock, 80’s and 90’s US punk and jazz.
When we tried to make this album, we just wanted to play music with relaxing. So, we rented an abandoned hotel in Onomichi Japan. The place fitted our feelings. We played and recorded 3days in spring 2018. It was strange and interesting that our improvisation was Asian scent unconsciously. Soon, we decided to put all the songs we prepared in the trash.
All tracks of this album are perfect free improvisation, except overdubbing shaker on “Unka” and some editing of compositions.
voices are almost meaningless.
The album title “Nora” means “farm working” in Japanese. all of the tracks names are inspired by rice farming in Japan. We respect farmer but we have no interest in rice farmers.
We just hope you will enjoy our music!!
